The Peridot Mossfern is a super-rare find for plant enthusiasts. Acting as a Bryophyte (Mosses/Liverworts), it takes years to produce fronds, but it's worth the wait with its glittery appearance. This fern gametophyte grows well on various surfaces and is suited for high humidity environments where it will steadily spread. Like all ferns, this species propagates via transfer of spores and thus it forms a symbiotic relationship with Isopods (such as Springtails and Sowbugs), where the Mossfern provides necessary moisture to the Isopods while the spores rub off on them and spread to new areas.
Determined to be a comparable -though not official- species of Antrophyum (a species of Brake Ferns), its native range is Oceania (Australia, South East Asia, South Pacific Islands and New Zealand). Listing is for a starter culture needed to populate a terrarium. Either break apart and spread over soil or bark, or let Isopods carry out their natural transfer of it's spores to new areas.
